This day trip from Phoenix gives you the chance to explore the legendary Grand Canyon by helicopter! Visit the magnificent Red Rocks of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon before arriving at the Grand Canyon National Park for a thrilling 50-minute helicopter tour.
Your trip starts with being picked up by luxury van from your hotel, and without delay you’ll be on the road to Sedona. During a brief stop you take photos of the Red Rocks while your guide picks up lunch at a local restaurant to take as a picnic to the Grand Canyon. Continuing on though Oak Creek Canyon, one of the USA’s most scenic drives, you’ll traverse dramatic elevation changes as you wind through 2000 vertical feet (600 meters) of red walled canyon before emerging into a Ponderosa forest.
At the Grand Canyon South Rim, you’ll board a state-of-the-art helicopter for a 50-minute flight over the Grand Canyon. Flying towards the eastern end of the canyon, you’ll follow the Colorado River, over the scenic Kaibab Nation Forest, and through the Dragon Corridor — the widest and deepest part of the Grand Canyon. You’ll have a total of 3 hours at to explore Grand Canyon National Park, walking the rim trail, shopping or having lunch at one of the lookout points.
You’ll drive though the Navajo Nation and the Painted Desert, with a stop at an authentic Navajo trading post, on your way back to Phoenix.
